Privacy notice for The Follow-Up (الفولو أب) applications and meetups, by MOND

MOND (operated by Admireworks, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates) runs The Follow-Up, small meetups in Cairo on customer follow-up for business owners and the people who run the business, co-hosted by Taher El Shall. Places are by application. Here is what happens to your data:

What we collect

Your name, WhatsApp number, email, business name, your answers to the five questions (your role, the type of business, how many people follow up with customers, where most customers reach you, and your biggest follow-up problem), and the review decision. If you are accepted and pay: a payment reference and your attendance. Card payments go through Stripe; your card details never reach us.

Why we use it

Your data is not added to MOND's sales lists, and we do not contact you about MOND services unless you ask.

  • The five answers: so a member of our team can read your application and decide on it, and so the room is varied and made of people who follow up with customers themselves. A person decides, not an automated system.
  • Your WhatsApp number: to confirm we received your application, then to send the acceptance with the price and payment link, a decline, or a waitlist place, then the meetup details and two reminders. It is not used for any marketing message unless you agree to that separately.
  • Your email: for the receipt and any meetup details we need to send.

Who sees it

The MOND team running the meetup. If Taher El Shall helps choose the room, he sees only your first name, business type and five answers, never your phone or email, and only after signing a confidentiality undertaking. Service providers: Google (hosting and database), Meta (WhatsApp) and Stripe (card payments).

Where it is kept

On Google servers in the United States; messages pass through Meta and card payments through Stripe in Ireland and the United States, with the consent you give when you apply.

Conversations you send for discussion

If you send a conversation with a customer for the meetup, remove names, numbers and business names before sending. We remove anything left before printing, use it in the meetup only, and delete the original and the printout within 7 days after the meetup.

Filming

Attendees are not filmed at this meetup.

Retention

If your application is declined, or you stay on the waitlist and do not attend, or you are accepted but do not pay, we delete your application 90 days after the meetup date. If you attend, we remove what identifies you from the attendance record after 24 months. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.

If you stop after the first step of the form, we keep only your name, WhatsApp number and email to follow up on your application, send you no marketing because of it, and delete them after 30 days if you do not finish.

Future invitations (optional)

We send you an invitation to a future meetup only if you agree, through a separate unticked box on the application form or by replying "yes" to our message. Stop them at any time by typing "STOP".

The series episodes on the page

If you enter your email to open the episodes of The Follow-Up series, we keep your email, the page language and the time, and use them only to open the episodes. We delete them 180 days after the last time you opened the episodes.

We send you no marketing because of it unless you agree through a separate unticked box under the field. If you do, we keep your email for that purpose until you unsubscribe with the "Unsubscribe" link in any message.

The video player loads from youtube-nocookie.com (Google), and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.

Your rights and contact

You may ask why your application was or was not accepted and ask for it to be looked at again, and you have every right set out in the privacy policy (/privacy); we reply within 6 working days. To withdraw any consent, reply "withdraw consent" to MOND's WhatsApp messages or write to hello@getmond.com. Data protection officer: Fouad Nasseredin, at hello@getmond.com.
